March 18 & 19: Trunk Show & Stashbuster Quilts, The Quilting Barn, New Liskeard, ON
Vintage Costume Jewelry Collage – NEW! Bring your pretty baubles and turn them into artwork! You will use vintage jewelry such as brooches, earrings, rings or cufflinks as a focal point for a small collage. The use of background fabrics, fusibles, acrylic gel medium, sheers (organza, tulle, net), yarns, ribbons, lace, buttons, beads, found objects and decorative stitching will be demonstrated. The collages are 5" x 7" or 6" x 6" and may be framed or displayed on a tabletop wire frame. The jewelry is attached with thread and can be removed at any time. Stashbuster Quilts – NEW!
Bust that stash! Choose one of 2 patterns (Starlight or Log Cabin) and make a quilt! Precision construction for the 9 patch, hourglass and log cabin blocks are demonstrated. Janet's quilts have pieced backs, and quilt back designs will also be discussed.

Botanical Beauties©Interpret your choice of flower in a large-scale design, using your own photograph. Fused appliqué or curved machine piecing techniques may be used. Botanical Art Small Wall Quilts
Make any one of the Asiatic Lily, Oriental Poppy, Morning Glory, Pansy, Daylily or Bearded Iris Small Wall Quilt tops in class. Bring your own fabrics or buy a kit.
Kits will be made available for those who reserve their pattern choice
with Janet no later than 2 weeks before class. Included are fabrics
+ Steam-a-Seam 2 sheets preprinted with pattern pieces.
Kit prices reflect the amount of fabric and cutting required:
$30 for the Asiatic Lily, Oriental Poppy, Pansy, or Daylily
$25 for the Morning Glory
$22 for the Bearded Iris
