This asymmetrical wall quilt was inspired by the gorgeous rich colours of the Sugar Maple tree on a warm autumn evening. The leaves are fused applique and the stems are embroidered with a chain stitch. Size: 45" wide by 45" to the bottom point. Fabrics are from Blank Textiles. Threads are from Superior Threads. |

Discover your inner child! Instructions for this new pattern include an exciting new technique to preserve real leaves, as well as 6 fabric leaf patterns (Maple, Aspen, Oak, Gingko, Sassafras and Tulip Tree). These easy little quilts are perfect for embellishments. They measure 7" x 9" and fit the Autumn Leaf Hanger by Ackfeld Manufacturing. The Leaf Magic Little Quilt© pattern and bead kits will be available at the Embellishment Village booth at Quilt Festival in Chicago this April! See more photos on my blog, March 18th and 19th posts.
